Madrid Abierto Con Permiso 2009

So we have called the initiative suggested by different artists. We intended to use as an exhibition place a main street in Madrid -Paseo de Recoletos. In previous years it was used at the same time during the opening of the ARCO exhibition.

We wanted to show our own urban art exhibition ”Madrid Abierto”.
Taking advantage of the timing and being the closen location free, several artists, unaided by official funding, without previous selection processes, wanted to show their art in Paseo Recoletos near Madrid’s Town Council and close to central Cibeles Square. It was as if the traditional Madrid Abierto exhibition was taking place and we were contributing to Madrilians’ art choice.

Several artists have carried out this action called ´Madrid Abierto con Permiso 2009´ (Open Madrid with your permission) like
Alberto de Pedro, Alberto de Pedro, Raúl Cabello, DosJotas y Frágil, Escrito en la Pared and Ninotchka Art Project, but this initiative is still open for everybody who is interested. We will download the photos here.

The information will be published at time by Guillermo in
Escrito en la Pared.

Our action is named ´Madrid legs opened’ and we think it is unnecessary to explain more about it.
The photos were taken by Gustavo Sanabria, as usual.

We are glad because the next night the legs still were there opened and in the same site.

Time of installation : 1 hour 30 minutes.
Damages: none
Exhibition time: 24
hours.
